MLB Steel is proud to announce that we have achieved CHAS accreditation. This demonstrates that our organisation is compliant with industry benchmarks on health and safety throughout our organisation, and forms part of our best practice ethos.

CHAS, the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme, is not only vital to ensure the health and safety of all of our employees and site visitors, but it is also an essential mark of compliance for many buyers at the pre-qualification stage of sourcing competent and reliable suppliers, such as MLB Steel.

This accreditation is in addition to our CE Marking: Certificate of Conformity for Factory Production Control in accordance with EN1090-1:2009+A1:2001 – Execution of Steel Structures and Aluminium Structures.

At MLB Steel, all aspects of quality, health and safety and procedural policies are managed by a dedicated team who ensure that our standards and compliance are continually assessed and met.

Training in all aspects of quality and health and safety is mandatory for all employees, with new staff receiving full training as part of our standard induction.

Managing Director, Chad Ward, said “High standards in health and safety are paramount to us so that can ensure that our employees and site visitors are protected at all times. Achieving this CHAS accreditation underlines our continual commitment to deliver quality goods efficiently and safely. Thanks goes to the entire MLB team who help to ensure that these standards are always adhered to and maintained”.
